Human Resources Policy

Mining & Civil Australia Pty Ltd (MACA) is a privately owned West Australian company whose objective is to employ a professional team to provide mining and civil contracting services to the resources industry.

To achieve this objective, MACA will:

  • Ensure selection and recruitment criteria is fair, valid and appropriate;
  • Demonstrate leadership and respect in corporate, social and global values;
  • Encourage sharing and development of desirable skills, attributes and behaviours;
  • Recognise and respect cultural, safety, environmental and spiritual needs of local communities;
  • Ensure early intervention and injury management for employees who incur a work related injury or illness; and
  • Support employees in understanding the principles of this policy.


This is how we are going to do it:

  • Continue to align selection and recruitment processes with current legislative and role requirements;
  • Integrate procedures for consultative communication, dispute resolution, supervision, mentoring and training within all MACA systems;
  • Provide a workplace program aimed at eliminating discrimination, contributing to fair treatment and equal opportunity for women in the workplace;
  • Residents of local communities in which we work will be given support and opportunity for employment and development within MACA;
  • Communicate the processes and responsibilities for injury management, rehabilitation and workers’ compensation;
  • The actions in this policy will be administered in a fair and timely manner by the Human Resources Management Plan.
