To achieve this objective, MACA will:
- Ensure selection and recruitment criteria is fair, valid and appropriate;
demonstrate leadership and respect in corporate, social and global values; - Encourage sharing and development of desirable skills, attributes and behaviours;
recognise and respect cultural, safety, environmental and spiritual needs of local communities; - Ensure early intervention and injury management for employees who incur a work related injury or
illness; and - Support employees in understanding the principles of this policy.
This is how we are going to do it:
- Continue to align selection and recruitment processes with current legislative and role requirements;
- Integrate procedures for consultative communication, dispute resolution, supervision, mentoring
and training within all MACA systems; - Provide a workplace program aimed at eliminating discrimination, contributing to fair treatment and
equal opportunity for women in the workplace; - Residents of local communities in which we work will be given support and opportunity for employment
and development within MACA; - Communicate the processes and responsibilities for injury management, rehabilitation and workers’
compensation; and - The actions in this policy will be administered in a fair and timely manner by the Human Resources
Management Plan.
