Your responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a safety culture change agent by taking a leadership role in promoting, respecting and complying with the health, safety and environmental practices of the organisation.
  • Maintain and improve the MACA's focus on safety and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • The HSE Manager will be required to lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, Environment practice within the scope of AS/NZS 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards across the organisation as a whole.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist in implementing appropriate controls.
  • Key stakeholder in identifying and implementing process improvement systems and methods.
  • Monitor and advise on OHS and environmental legislation and statutory requirements by Identifying industry standards and best practice, along with legislative change and external trends.
  • Preparation of HSE reports, procedures and management plans including the development and implementation of HSE systems.
  • Assist with accident/incident investigations.
  • Establish, maintain and conduct audits to monitor performance and suitability of the MACA management system.
  • Gather and collate the necessary records to verify the quality of the management system.
  • Monitor, assess and implement strategies to minimise LTI's and TRIFRs.
  • Strive to establish a culture encompassing the vision and core values of MACA.

To be successful in this role, you will possess;

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar position
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or higher
  • High level working knowledge of HSE, quality and continuous improvement principles, practice and legislation
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement across the business through process improvement methodologies
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Experience dealing with change management in safety culture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility for regular site visits

MACA currently require the support of a suitably experienced and proactive Civil Project Administrator to join our new team on this exciting project.

This 3:1 FIFO role is crucial in the daily administrative duties where you will be responsible for providing a high level of administration and support services to the civil project. Your duties are inclusive of but not limited to; the management and administration of all project, personnel, payroll, cost, procurement and admin reporting activities and operations necessary to support the successful delivery of a project. 

Your responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to;

  • Developing and implementing MACA standardised procedures and processes of the site administration role onsite
  • Supporting the imputation of project cost data
  • Coordinating the project onboarding and mobilisation of employees and contractors
  • Supporting the project with purchasing and procurement e.g. raising purchase orders and tracking these through the MACA internal data base
  • Generating cost reports
  • Liaising with the MACA IT department on the MDS and processing issues
  • Liaising with the Welshpool office who will provide support when required
  • Booking travel arrangements for corporate civil staff to site
  • Conducting various other roles such as inductions, supporting the Project team when required

To be successful in this role, you will possess;

  • Several years experience in a similar role and remote environment
  • A high attention to detail
  • Sense of priority and urgency
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office package
  • An extensive administration background
  • Working knowledge of data entry, maintenance and scheduling systems
