  • Provide specialised support to the effectiveness of the MACA Learning & Development Management Framework.
  • Perform system analysis, reporting and support to target and drive operational excellence.
  • Undertake training needs analysis and maintain role requirements to manage compliance.
  • Contribute to the creation of training material as required.
  • Ensure training is aligned to meet legislative training and licensing requirements.
  • Conducting inductions and other facilitation as required.
  • Manage external training activities across the business.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Cert IV TAE (essential).
  • Cert IV OHS (preferable).
  • Bachelor in Human Resources Management (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • Training facilitation experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing training programs and materials.
  • Previous experience working for a company that has multiple sites and departments preferably in Mining, Oil & Gas, Maintenance or Civil Construction sectors.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and coordination of all learning and development initiatives across the company. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of the company's Learning & Development program.
  • Lead and engage both corporate and site based members of the Learning & Development team.
  • Develop key partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, implement and maintain controlled training documents and reporting to meet legislative and Company standards and procedures.
  • Deliver operational training requirements within budget and scope.
  • Design and deliver an annual Learning & Development strategy around key priorities.
  • Design and implement training programs, schedules and materials for onsite training.
  • Review and evaluate training outcomes including ROI, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Learning & Development function.
  • Identify ongoing training needs for the business and our people through training needs analysis and design initiatives to address this.
  • Provide a monthly report to the Executive Team on key initiatives and tracking of KPIs.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in adult and vocational education.
  • At a minimum, Diploma of Training and Assessment.
  • 7 to 10 years' experience within a similar role.
  • Extensive experience developing instructional design programs to ensure effective training.
  • Learning & Development Framework subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, developing and leading teams.
  • Strong communication to inspire and motivate people to achieve team goals at all levels of the organisation.
  • A strategic thinker with a hands on approach.
  • Experience working in mining or related industries is essential.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist with development of the MACA Management System (MMS), including content, ensuring alignment to MACA operational and other stakeholder requirements.
  • Assist with MACA company compliance to accredited certifications and ensure those requirements are addressed in the MMS.
  • Oversee management system alignment with industry specific quality assurance requirements.
  • Monitor and support the close-out and ongoing implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with documentation compliance within the MMS ensuring best practice in operational procedures and compliance.
  • Coordinate the management of corporate and site based management plans within the MMS.
  • Assist with developing and monitoring the internal and external assurance program, including scheduling participation and timeframe execution amongst corporate and MACA operational sites.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS/NZS 4801.
  • Previous experience in the mining / civil industries in HSEQ system development and assurance programs.
  • Auditor training.
  • Technical writing capability.
  • High level computer systems – Microsoft word and excel.
  • Diploma of Quality Auditing (desirable).
  • Diploma of OHS / WHS (desirable).
