MACA currently require multi-skilled all-rounder operators to join our Civil Construction team on an exciting new project involving a range of works on a 4&1 roster, FIFO from Perth.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Suitable applicants MUST have current HR Driver's License, nationally accredited operating tickets & white card. Successful applicants must be able to pass pre-employment medical and provide a clear police clearance less than 3 months old.

We currently require an enthusiastic, experienced and an outstanding Learning & Development Manager to lead our training team.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and coordination of all learning and development initiatives across the company. The role is autonomous, where you can make it your own to deliver impactful and sustainable learning outcomes for our people.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of the company's Learning & Development program.
  • Lead and engage both corporate and site based members of the Learning & Development team.
  • Develop key partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, implement and maintain controlled training documents and reporting to meet legislative and Company standards and procedures.
  • Deliver operational training requirements within budget and scope.
  • Design and deliver an annual Learning & Development strategy around key priorities.
  • Design and implement training programs, schedules and materials for onsite training.
  • Review and evaluate training outcomes including ROI, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Learning & Development function.
  • Identify ongoing training needs for the business and our people through training needs analysis and design initiatives to address this.
  • Provide a monthly report to the Executive Team on key initiatives and tracking of KPIs.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in adult and vocational education.
  • At a minimum, Diploma of Training and Assessment.
  • 7 to 10 years' experience within a similar role.
  • Extensive experience developing instructional design programs to ensure effective training.
  • Learning & Development Framework subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, developing and leading teams.
  • Strong communication to inspire and motivate people to achieve team goals at all levels of the organisation.
  • A strategic thinker with a hands on approach.
  • Experience working in mining or related industries is essential.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensuring works are carried out safely and in accordance with processes and procedures
  • Assisting in quality and safety audits
  • Providing assistance in the areas of mine planning, design and utilisation of equipment
  • Ensuring works are carried out in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • Monitoring daily production and cost/schedule adherence
  • Daily reporting on progress, non-compliance, delays to works
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.       

To be successful in this role, you will possess;

  • Tertiary Qualification – Mining Engineering
  • Advanced computer literacy and experience using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Current driver's license
  • Good interpersonal and management skills
  • Sound communication skills
