The MACA Cancer 200 - Ride for Research

We are proud to be the “Title Sponsor" of the MACA Cancer 200 - Ride for Research in support of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Team MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer 2013

The MACA Cancer 200 supports groundbreaking research initiatives, critical clinical trials, and innovative new treatments at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (formerly the Western Australian Institute of Medical Research - WAIMR), Australia’s premier adult medical research institute.

2018 was MACA Limited’s 7th year as a proud sponsor of the Ride, supporting Perth’s world-class facility the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

Back in 2012 when the inaugural event came to Perth MACA got on board not only as a business but as a group of riders individually raising money for crucial groundbreaking research in the fight against cancer. Since that first-year Team MACA has grown and last October 2018 raised over $1.36M with over 250 riders undertaking the two day, 200km ride to Mandurah and back. The Team bringing together; employees, their families & friends, clients, suppliers and occasional individuals that just want to be part of our team for a common cause, beating cancer.

With 1 in 2 males and 1 in 3 females getting cancer, we all have “a cancer story” and whilst those statistics are daunting, the other facts are; the rate of cure, life expectancy and quality of life for sufferers is so much better and growing all the time thanks to the success of organisations such as Harry Perkins and their dedicated scientists, doctors and researchers.

By supporting us on the ride you are “making a difference”.
