MACA is proud to be a Team Sponsor of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth
Youth Focus delivers frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential.
Each Year, MACA is proud to be a team sponsor in the Hawaiian Ride for Youth, which is a 700km ride from Albany or Jurien Bay to Perth. In support of the Ride, MACA also hosts yearly Ride for Youth Breakfasts, which attracts over 400 guests and attendees.
On their journey, the riders stop at high schools to engage with students in the issues of youth suicide, depression and anxiety and offer the services of Youth Focus. The riders also have an opportunity to share their personal stories with the students.
The funds raised from the breakfast and event play a crucial role in helping young people receive vital mental health counselling, whilst at the same time raising community awareness of mental health and reducing its associated stigma.
