KhmerMACA Interquip is pleased to be progressing construction works at the Binduli North Heap Leach project for our client, Norton Gold Fields.
Scope of works involves the construction of a two-stage crushing circuit with high-pressure grinding rolls and agglomeration utilising approximately 2000T of structural steel, 2000T of mechanical equipment, and over 47km of piping.
MACA Interquip Business Manager Ben Thomas said the Binduli Heap Leach Project is the first in a long time of this scale in the gold mining industry in Western Australia.
“Norton Gold Fields and its partners have moved mountains to get the project to where it is today, despite the global conditions that COVID has presented,” said Ben.
The ore from the crushing and agglomeration circuit is then conveyed onto a heap leach pad followed by liquor collection into a carbon absorption, elution, electrowinning, and smelting plant to produce a gold doré product. The project will treat 5 million tonnes of ore per annum.
We remain on track for plant handover to the client by the scheduled commissioning date.
