To enable our business to grow, we require an experienced and capable Accounts Administrator to join our Infrastructure team.

Reporting to the Accountant, the role is focused on providing hands on administrative support.  You will directly contribute to the effectiveness of our performance.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for the Accounts function (data entry, coding and processing).
  • Processing a high volume of invoices
  • Investigation of creditor issues and problem resolution of invoices.
  • Assisting in reconciliations (bank, accounts and petty cash).
  • Accurate filing of accounts documentation
  • Liaising with suppliers, management and other staff members in a friendly and approachable manner
  • Document control of accounts documentation
  • Investigate and respond to customer account enquiries and refer complex problems to the Financial Accountant
  • Assist in end of month processes and reporting.
  • Reconcile statements, credit cards and expense accounts.
  • General office duties and clerical support to staff.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of MACA work practices.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Experience using Pronto, is preferred
  • Exposure to multi-site payroll, an advantage
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 2+ years' experience in loader operations.
  • Drivers Licence

    Your responsibilities for the role will include but are not limited to;

  • Provide ongoing, field based, advisory support to the leadership team and crew
  • Participate and assist with accident/incident investigations.
  • Identify, investigate and report any Environmental issues;
  • Maintain Environmental Effects Register;
  • Take a leadership role in promoting, respecting and complying with the health, safety and environmental practices of the organisation.

  • Assist with site risk assessments, implementation of Job Safety Analysis and inspect job activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.
  • Ensure compliance with safe systems to AS/NZS 4801, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Establish, maintain and conduct audits/inspections to monitor performance and suitability of the MACA management system, including data entry.
  • Preparation and implementation of HSEQ reports, procedures and site management plans
  • Collate site HSEQ statistics for dissemination to corporate office, analyse and report on data.
  • Role will involve travel all over Victoria, and in some instances may require living away from home for short periods.

  • Prepare and issue invoices for completed works to Client
  • Reconcile issued invoices to Accounts
  • Update daily costings, keeping a running tally of costs and invoices
  • Assisting with month end processing
  • Payroll data entry of hours worked and leave requests in MACA Data System (MDS)
  • Updating and uploading of documents into MDS relating to OHS, Training and Compliance
  • Assist with quarterly audits

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 3 years of administration experience, ideally working on a project
  • The ability to work autonomously, being self-driven
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well established communication skills; written and verbal

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Direct the hour by hour and day by day activities of the workforce immediately under his control
  • Ensure that all work activities are conducted and completed strictly in accordance with contract/project OH&S Management Plans, statutory OH&S rules, regulations and requirements and to industry and QA standards as determined by specifications, standards and statutory requirements
  • Ensure personnel within their area of responsibility and control are capable, trained and qualified to undertake the tasks they are engaged to complete. Where gaps in employee capability or experience exists when engaged to undertake a task, the Supervisor will ensure appropriate training or removal of the employee is undertaken before being engaged to complete a task or work activity
  • Ensure that all technical, engineering and specified aspects of the work activity or task as described in the contract documents is fully understood prior to commencement of works
  • The Supervisor will ensure prior to the commencement of any task (and reviewed daily for prolonged tasks) a risk review in the form of a JSA will be conducted by the work team under their immediate control

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Drainage, road & bridge works and bulk earthworks experience within Australia
  • Excellent working knowledge of machinery capabilities and maintenance
  • Commitment to safe working practices
