Commitment to Aboriginal Employment

MACA is committed to providing direct employment opportunities to Aboriginal People.

Our Aboriginal Employment Program is centered around affording Aboriginal People equal opportunity to access jobs, skills development and career prospects.

We aim to play our part in enhancing the lives of Aboriginal People where we can.

Supporting our Defence Force Veterans

In line with of our Core Values, People First and Community, in May 2018, MACA established a dedicated initiative to provide employment opportunities for Australian Defence Force veterans.

Working in close partnership with Working Spirit, a not for profit charity that assists veterans to transition into civilian life, MACA regularly holds “meet and greet” forums to discuss employment opportunities within the company.  The initiative is rapidly gathering steam with 12 veterans already taking up employment within MACA’s mining operations.

As an industry leader, MACA is committed to supporting our veterans to transition to civilian life and employment.  MACA’s Mining Area Manager, Leon Taylor who is actively driving the initiative say’s “we are indebted so much to our veterans so by providing employment opportunities where we can is a win win outcome for all concerned”.
