MACA was awarded a road works contract for Atlas Iron’s Corunna Downs iron ore project in the Pilbara region, Western Australia. Over 37 kilometres of sealed roads built to MRWA specifications, with over 24 kilometres of upgrades on existing gravel gazetted roads, over 3 kilometres of culvert installation from 450mm to 1500mm, once completed it will allow the mine to run iron ore off-site to port on a all weather sealed road.

Scope of Works:

  • New private Mine Access Road (MAR)
  • Re-construction of existing public road Hillside-Marble Bar Road
  • Re-construction of public road Corunna Downs Road/Marble Bar Bypass Road
  • Realignment of Black Rock Road
  • Widening of Limestone-Marble Bar Road
  • Construction of new Bypass Road
  • Intersections linking each road alignment
