Victoria’s Big Bridge Build is underway!

This year’s Constructionarium Australia (CA) build is well underway! Yesterday, the team hosted a ‘VIP’ networking event at the build’s Hallam site in celebration of the cohort’s achievements to date.

MACA leadership and industry peers, including MACA Civil Manager (Victoria) Chris Mason and CA Board Member Alex Ibarra, attended the event.

Civil Manager (Victoria), Chris Mason, said the cohort should be proud of their efforts so far.

“The team has worked tirelessly over the past week, putting theory into practice as they plan, tender, procure, design, and construct a scale bridge structure as part of Victoria’s Big Bridge Build project,” he said.

“The event was a great opportunity for the team to reflect on their build and network with industry professionals as they begin their career journey.

“It was fantastic to see the build in its current state, knowing the time constraints and curve balls the participants have been thrown to challenge their thinking,” said Chris.

With just a few days left of the program, the cohort will continue construction before the bridge grand opening on Friday, 10 February.
