Meet Ricardo

“A big part of a rewarding career is working with others who motivate, challenge, and support you. I am grateful to be surrounded by a team who does just that.”

Meet Ricardo, Crushing Planner and Coordinator. With a background in mining maintenance, Ricardo is eager to apply his experience, technological literacy and skills to the world of Crushing.

“The Crushing process is a field completely new to me, but since I joined MACA late last year, I have received training and mentoring from my colleagues and manager.

“I believe I can apply my skills and become an expert in the industry, and I am focused to do just that.

“Looking into the future, I see myself taking on a series of complex projects, so I am continuously pushing myself and adding value to my workplace,” said Ricardo.

For Ricardo, understanding that he is making a difference is what motivates him each and every day.

“Three things encourage me to come to work every day.”

“First, is knowing I am contributing to the growth of the company. Second, is the opportunity to improve and learn new skills, and third, knowing that I will be with people I like to work with and doing what I like to do,” he said.

Ricardo’s career advice is to be confident in your abilities and challenge yourself.

“To build the career you want you must be willing to sacrifice some things, and to speak up and ask questions,” he said.

When not at work, Ricardo can be found working on his self-development.

“I enjoy reading investment and personal improvement books as I believe they help me broaden my horizons and learn a lot of things that I can use in daily life.”
