MACA Civil, as part of the South West Gateway Alliance consortium, was awarded the Bunbury Outer Ring Road contract with Main Roads WA, the biggest infrastructure to be undertaken in Western Australia's South West.

MACA Civil, as part of the South West Gateway Alliance consortium, was awarded the Bunbury Outer Ring Road contract with Main Roads WA, the biggest infrastructure to be undertaken in Western Australia’s South West.

Comprising MACA Civil, Acciona, NRW Contracting, AECOM and Aurecon, the team will build a 27 kilometre, four lane road from Forrest Highway near Australind to Bussell Highway.

The proposed Bunbury Outer Ring Road (BORR) comprises of three sections:

  • Northern Section – Forrest Highway to Boyanup-Picton Road
  • Central Section – Boyanup-Picton Road to South West Highway extension and extension of Willinge Drive south-wards to South Western Highway
  • Southern Section – South Western Highway (near Bunbury Airport) to Bussell Highway

Once complete, the BORR will improve freight efficiency, safety and reduce travel time between the north and south of Bunbury.
