MACA has played a critical role in the development and operation of the Karlawinda mine, delivering a comprehensive range of mining and infrastructure services to support the project’s successful growth since October 2020.
MACA’s initial scope included early greenfield development, site establishment, construction of key infrastructure, drill and blast, load and haul activities, fleet management, technical services and the construction and sealing of a 2.6 kilometre airstrip. The project has since evolved into a large-scale gold mining operation, with MACA continuing to provide safe, efficient and reliable mining services that support Capricorn’s production objectives.
In June 2025, MACA was awarded a further five-year contract extension covering full mining services, including drill and blast, load and haul and engineering support. The extension reflects the strength of the partnership between MACA and Capricorn Metals and recognises MACA’s consistent operational performance since the project’s inception.
