In 2017, MACA was awarded the open pit mining services contract for the Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum project, one of the largest hard rock lithium deposits in the world.

Scope of works consisted of load and haul, and drill and blast, including clearing, stripping, rehabilitation, TSF construction, workshop and office facilities construction, and maintenance.

During the initial five-year contract duration, MACA provided open pit mining services including load and haul, and drill and blast, and in September 2021 was awarded a 12-month contract extension.

MACA successfully completed all contracted scope of works by October 2022.
