The Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Project, one of the largest hard rock lithium deposits globally, was a significant project for MACA from November 2017 to November 2022. Awarded the contract by PLS (Previously Pilbara Minerals), MACA provided comprehensive open pit mining services, including load and haul, drill and blast, and a range of associated works.
The project scope included clearing, stripping, rehabilitation, tailings storage facility (TSF) construction, as well as the construction of workshop and office facilities, coupled with ongoing maintenance activities. Initially set for five years, MACA’s contract was extended by 12 months in September 2021 to allow continued delivery of services.
By October 2022, MACA had successfully completed all contracted scope of works, reflecting its commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
